TRIMA

FAQ

TRIMA sociograms are used to analyze human networks in three different contexts:
  1. The context of team cohesion with the Sociogram of TRIMA Social Styles;
  2. The context of group performance with the Sociogram of TRIMA Competency Domains;
  3. The context of team and individual mobilization with the Sociogram of TRIMA Leadership Styles.
The information generated by the sociogram makes it possible to identify the elements which contribute to team development, in particular communication, motivation, values, credibility, trust, recognition, mutual assistance, conflict management, participation, decision-making and problem solving.
We invite you to read the section entitled Our Partners on our homepage. It presents organizations which use the TRIMA tools and methods for a variety of purposes.
TRIMA tools and questionnaires can be used in a variety of ways to improve team dynamics. Whether working on communication methods, cooperation, values, operating methods, cohesion among team members or other aspects related to team performance, TRIMA tools and questionnaires offer many alternatives to carry out interventions and consultations with teams such as:
  • Development of productive teams
  • Team consolidation
  • Communication and interpersonal relations within the team
  • Attitudes, cooperation and contributions within the team.
The results of the TRIMA Social Styles questionnaire would vary little because they correspond to the individual's "natural self".
The results of the questionnaire used to establish the Competency Assessment might be modified as a result of the new challenges which you will have faced over the next five years.
The results of the TRIMA Leadership Styles questionnaire would reflect the evolution of your leadership style in relation to the expectations of your work environment.
Various statistical studies have been led to measure the validity and the accuracy of these tools. Data is gathered and processed regularly.
The TRIMA questionnaires are intended for all adults called to intervene in the following areas - human resources development, organizational development and career development.
Only certified consultants are authorized to administer TRIMA questionnaires.
TRIMA was founded in 1991. The TRIMA model was developed by Lionel Arsenault while he was conducting work for doctoral seminars in work psychology at Laval University in Quebec City.
The TRIMA Competency Dictionary contains 120 generic competencies associated with the professional identity of an individual. These competencies refer to the overall knowledge to act of an individual and are identified through the analysis of his actions.
The TRIMA Competency Card is used to position 30 of the 120 TRIMA competencies in four quadrants entitled: 1. motivational drivers; 2. functional level; 3. opportunities for development; and 4. foreseeable difficulties.
TRIMA Leadership Styles help to align visibility and credibility, to discover how to act in order to have positive impact on others, and to reinforce the desire to have an impact and to influence others.
The TRIMA Competency Domains make it possible to identify acquired skills and areas for further development, to create the Competency Card (CC) of a respondent and to assess the competencies required for a position by using the high performers approach.
The TRIMA Social Styles allows the individual to get to know and understand himself better, to identify his system of values, to learn effective communication strategies and to reinforce his decision-making process.
From the three dimensions unique to the TRIMA model (Social Styles, Competency Domains and Leadership Styles) and the expertise of the consultant, the interventions may cover many fields related to human resources development (selection, performance appraisal, competency development), organizational development (communication, team consolidation, coaching, culture of competency) and career development (talent management, succession management, employability).
TRIMA is distinguished for being an integrated model which dynamically processes human behaviours in terms of preferences, competencies and leadership. Each of these dimensions can be assessed using validated psychometric tools.
TRIMA is a Canadian model developed by Lionel Arsenault. The major theories of organizational behaviour and of neuropsychology as well as recognized management practices constitute the underlying basis of his work.
